Tim and his wife Bev (aka Apples The Clown) wanted to create a space in their backyard where they could enjoy the natural landscape and deep valley view from their hilltop perch. Nestled tightly amongst the trees on a steep slope, the hideaway was designed to allow the landscape to remain undisturbed while creating a relatively invisible, bug-proof environment where the couple can entertain their grandchildren, watch a movie, and apprecitate the fine rolling hills of west Austin.

The structural steel framework supports a composite deck and privacy wall, while the hunter green metal roof helps to blend in and cut glare for neighbors directly up the hill. The hideaway also features a water collection system and wi-fi controllable electrical service, making it easy to come and go far past sunset.
